Let the honeymoon begin

The second trimester is commonly known as the honeymoon phase.  I am not 13+5 weeks.  Officially in my second trimester and I will admit the symptoms are decreasing.  Some are almost basically gone.  My all day sickness has been reduced to nothing or slight queasiness.  I have my energy back and feel more like my self.  My skin is even clearing up.  I am still constipated, but it is not as severe.  My breast are still sore but again not as severe.

My stomach is growing.  But really I just feel fat.  I gained 8 pounds in the first trimester.  5 pounds is the recommended max.  So I don't feel so bad sense it is only 3 pounds over. Plus  I attribute that to basically only being able to eat carbs and not having the energy to workout.  I have sense got back to healthier eating choices and working out.

I am shopping for transition clothes.  So basically that includes maxi dresses, long shirts, cardigans, and yoga pants.  Overall I am feeling pretty good and starting to enjoy pregnancy.  Plus my worrying has all but decreased.  I mean I still have moments.  But they are much less.  I attribute this 100% to me just letting go and having faith in God.

Do the Math

Okay I was trying to determine when the 1st trimester is over.  Books, OBGYNs, and the Internet all range from 12 weeks - 14 weeks.  After research this is what I came up with that makes sense.

We are pregnant for 40 weeks.  Now people say there are 4 weeks in a month so 40/4 = 10 months total.  Well all months do not have 4 weeks.  But all weeks do have 7 days.  So you are definitely pregnant for 280 days. (7 x 40).

There is an average of 30.4 days in a month so 280/30.4 = 9.2 months of being pregnant.  Which would put the end of the first trimester at around 13 weeks.  (13.3 days to be exact).  So for me 13 weeks was the answer..

So with that puzzle solved.  I have officially moved on to the honeymoon phase aka 2nd trimester. Ya for me.
