Just Breathe.....

So I have been getting more into breathing and relaxing.  I will admit I have never really been into this stuff before the pregnancy.  I actually don't even like stretching after a workout (although now I am making myself do it).  Jones is so into positive thinking and has an "everything is going to be okay" attitude.    I am a worrier by nature and have never really put much focus into deliberately thinking positive.   Actually I considered The Secret a scam.  But after learning more and being around him I really believe in it.  Plus it mirrors my Christians beliefs about having faith, claiming things, speaking the word, putting things in the atmosphere, etc.

That being said I decided to look into positive pregnancy thoughts to calm my nerves.  Honestly all this negative thoughts can't be healthy for the baby.  After googling several terms I came across Pregnancy Affirmation (thank God for google suggestions).   My favorite article was Pregnancy Affirmation.  I made a few changes to fit my needs and decided to record them to relaxing music.  I plan to listen & repeat twice a day.

  • Hello my beautiful healthy baby.
  • God blessed me with you.
  •  I feel you growing inside of me. I am so happy you are healthy and beautiful.
  • Each day you grow more and more beautiful.
  • You are growing healthy and strong.
  • My body is perfectly designed to nourish you
  • I make choices that best promote your health.
  • You are growing perfectly inside my body.
  • Your strong growing makes me so happy.
  • Each day I love you more and more; each day brings us closer.
  • You are strong and healthy.
  • I feel your peace and your love.
  • You feel my love.
  • Every day you increase in size in the perfect way.
  • I feel so comfortable having you with me.
  • I am sending you comfort and love and security.
  • My energy is giving you strength to grow healthy and wise.

Home is where the Heart is.

I have decided on my first baby purchase.  A doppler so I can hear the heart beat at Home.  I have been doing some research and have narrowed it down between the Sonoline B, Hi Bebe or Angelsound.  I am going to try to hold out until I am 8 weeks but i don't know if I will be able too.   Some have reported hearing the heartbeat at around 8 weeks.  But most report 10-12 weeks.

They cost anywhere from $30 - $400.  You can also rent one for around $25 a month.   I think this will be good until I can feel the baby start moving.  So super excited.

Talk to me

I have always been a forum girl.  I love the connection with other people that are into similar things as me.  I am on hair forums, makeup forums, a wedding forum (when I got married) etc.  So that did not change when I got pregnant.

Forums can be a double edge sword.  On the positive it is great to be with women that you can relate to and going thru similar things.  On the other hand there can be some bad information given out and some sad stories that add to the concerns that already exists.  However, I have decided that the positive is much more than the cons.  At this point I choose to skip over sad posts and take everything said as a suggestion until further research confirms.

Some of my favorite are BabyandBump , TheBump , and BabyCenter

An Apple a Day

I am 5 weeks 2 days and baby Sigmond is the size of an apple seed or some say a sesame seed.  Either way she (according to the Chinese charts) is super tiny.  And it is amazing to think about the process of life.  I am more tired than usual, have the soreness, and slight nausea after I eat.  Also when I stand up I may get a little dizzy sometimes but it only last for a few seconds.  But it is all so excited I actually don't mind any of it right now.   (We will see how that will be a few months from now).  I can't wait to hear baby Sigmond heartbeat in 3 weeks.  Well that's all for now

It's a Girl!!!

LOL....well according to the Chinese Gender Chart it is.  And some people claim it is 90% correct when used properly.  Well..that is higher than 50/50.  The thing is Chinese use lunar years so you are typically 1-2 years older.  However, the calculators did figure all of that out for me.   Clearly, only time will tell.

Bumpity Bump

Its weird but I am ready for my baby bump. I am not sure is it because it will be physical proof that I am pregnant or what.  But I want it.  #Thatisall

Don't Worry, Be Happy!!!

Okay.  I figured if I am documenting this...I must be 100% honest about my experience.  I am naturally a worrier (not sure if that is a word) so like most expecting mothers I worry about the baby health and especially the first trimester risks.  I have studied HCG levels (considered getting blood test) also want an early ultrasound.  I get one at 8 weeks.  I would like one at 6.

I talked to Jones and he said something that made sense.  Instead of focusing on the minority that is negative.  Focus on the positive (which is the majority of the outcomes).  And that is what I am going to do.

So.....Don't Worry, Be Happy!!!

Prenatal Care

So I am a BIG researcher and I over analyze everything.  So I have purchased prenatal vitamins.  After tons of research about the best vitamins and the amounts to have I went with (drum roll please).....

These vitamins had basically every recommended vitamin and every recommended dosage.  They are huge.  I have not been nausea from them.  Although I do take them at night after dinner.

Now on to working out.  Again tons of research about the types not overheating etc.  In the end I decided to slightly modify my current work out routine.  Get a heart rate monitor and I also bought one pregnancy work out dvd.  It got great reviews.  Because I already work out I need something challenging as I progress, that will not harm the baby.  I purchased Summer Sanders' Prenatal Workout.

Well that is all I have for now.  Still super excited.

We're Expecting!!!!!

So I found out yesterday I was pregnant.  I actually took 4 test (3 strips and a first response).  I am assuming I am about 3-4 weeks so I wanted to be sure.  SOOOO excited!!!!!!    I am trying my best to stay as calm as possible and not worry about everything and just be happy.

I also set my first appointment for August 8. I will be 8 weeks.  I thought it was kind of cool I will be 8 weeks on 8/8.  Just my number game I suspect.  So I am thanking God for this blessing and claiming a healthy pregnancy and baby.

I have already started looking into pregnancy workouts and purchased prenatal pills.  I am struggling to refrain from looking at baby stuff or thinking about names.  But I am just so excited.
